Large Sighthound, Greyhound & Large Breed Collars 2" 50mm wide

These collars are suitable for Greyhounds, Wolfhounds, Deerhounds, Salukis, Medium to Large Lurchers and other large dogs with long necks. I have also made these for Rottweilers, Great Danes and Bull Breeds.

All collars are washable at 30-40c either in a machine or by hand.

The fittings on all these collars are solid brass. Super strong and tough for outdoor walkies. Go on, chuck that uncomfortable leather collar away!

Please measure your dog mid neck. The collars are adjustable via the slider and have plenty of scope to be made smaller. The will expand a futher 2" from the mid neck size you supply, so a 14" collar will expand to 16" to go over the head and ears. If your dog has a large skull circumference (like a Bull Breed) please add at least an inch to the mid neck measurement.

Size guide: Average Greyhound 15", Medium Lurcher or Saluki 14", Afghan 19" Wolfhound 22". Recommended minimum neck size 14 for these wide collars.

Recommended for outdoor walking use/lead attachment. They are really too wide to be used as an indoor/house collar.

For 95% of sighthounds particularly newly homed Greyhounds and rescue dogs, I would recommend the martingale for safety and ease of use.

Fancy Collar Brass Single Loop £17.00

Martingale collars have an extra loop that acts as a safety closure if the dog tries to back out of the collar. Useful for nervous dogs whose heads are smaller than their necks. Most Sighthound owners would recommend the martingale.

Single loop collars are suitable for all breeds including non-nervous sighthounds. They open up to fit over the head, then adjust back down to fit using the slider.

Please note: These collars are intended for outdoor walkies. If they are used indoors the dog may scratch at them pulling out threads on the trim. If used for walks only, they should last for years. My dogs current collars are three years old!	Trims (click on pictures for close up images)	Trims made with Rayon yarn are slightly more delicate. Fine for a collar used just for walkies, not so good if the dog wears a collar indoors and has the odd scratch. I have marked in the description if woven with Rayon thread.
