Single loop collars are suitable for all breeds including non-nervous sighthounds. They open up to fit over the head, then adjust back down to fit using the slider. The brass slider just needs to be adjusted so that it is tight behind the ears for outdoor walks. For 95% of sighthounds particularly newly homed Greyhounds and rescue dogs, I would recommend the martingale for safety and ease of use. |
Martingale collars have an extra loop
that acts as a safety closure if the dog tries to back out of the collar.
Useful for nervous dogs whose heads are smaller than their necks. Most Sighthound owners would reccommend the
martingale.
